Student Intervention Programs

MyEKU Alerts

Students will receive alerts once they login to MyEKU if 1) they have attempted to drop or withdraw from a course or 2) If they have not registered for the upcoming term.

The information collected during these alerts are sent to Advisors assigned to a student for follow-up.

Midterm Recovery

Midterm Recovery is outlined in the catalog as an intervention effort for new, first-time freshmen. If a new freshmen has earned a 1.0 or less estimated midterm GPA, they are required to participate in the Midterm Recovery Program, coordinated by the Office of Academic and Career Services.

As part of the Midterm Recovery Program, they are required to attend a workshop and attend follow-up meetings with an Advisor in University Advising.

Failure to attend the workshop results in dismissal from the University. For more information, contact Cale Colbert with the Office of Academic and Career Services.

Probation Recovery

Probation Recovery is outlined in the catalog as an intervention program for new, first-time freshmen that conclude their first semester at EKU on probation. Students that are selected for Probation Recovery are required to complete the Academic Recovery Workshop embedded in Blackboard complete a Student Success Agreement.

Student Support Referral Form

Fill out this web form if you have a concern about a student regarding academic success, attendance, financial aid, etc. This information will go to the Senior Director of Student Success and the Director of the Student Success Center for response.

In cases where the student is a danger to her/himself or others, please contact the EKU Police Department immediately (phone: 859-622-1111).  Please note that the SAIT form should be used to report students who appear to be troubled or troubling to elicit a response from University officials before the student's behavior reaches a crisis level.
